About
I’m Mark. I say what I think, and I show where the information came from.
Who I am
I’m a Christchurch-based Kiwi creator making videos and commentary about politics, society, cost of living, public services, media, misinformation, international issues and the occasional piece of clearly labelled satire. You’ll find me across social media as @itsmemarknz.
Why this website exists
Social media rewards speed, and political stories lose their context fast. Source links get buried by the algorithm within a day. This site is the permanent home — a place where videos, commentary and the supporting material can sit side by side, where corrections can be made publicly, and where you can check the evidence yourself instead of taking anyone’s word for it.
Editorial approach
“I have opinions and I do not hide them. When I discuss factual claims, I aim to link to the original interview, speech, document, report or credible news source. If I get something materially wrong, I will correct it clearly.”
What this website is not
- Not a political party, and not affiliated with one
- Not an official news organisation
- Not pretending to be neutral — commentary reflects Mark’s personal views
- Not a replacement for reading the original sources, which is why they’re linked
