Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information is collected on newsreport.co.nz (It’s Me Mark NZ) and how it is used. It reflects the services actually in use on this website.

What we collect

  • Contact and enquiry forms — name, email address and the details you submit. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry unless you separately choose to subscribe to something. Form submissions are processed by Jetpack (Automattic) and stored in this site’s WordPress dashboard.
  • Comments — comments are disabled on pages; if enabled on posts, the name, email and content you submit are stored by WordPress and screened for spam by Akismet (Automattic).
  • Basic technical data — the web host records standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and performance.
  • Analytics — if Google Analytics is active, it collects anonymised usage statistics via cookies. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting the site.

External links and embedded content

This site links to external platforms, including TikTok. Following those links takes you to services with their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Where third-party media is embedded, that provider may set its own cookies when you interact with it.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not add contact-form users to any mailing list automatically.
  • We do not currently operate a newsletter or payment system; this policy will be updated before any such service launches.

Your choices and contact

You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, personal information you have submitted through this website by using the contact form. This policy is reviewed as the website’s services change.
